CONTEMPORARY IDEAS

Throughout the years I’ve experimented with many visual ideas and techniques studying works by 20th century European Modernists such as Cezanne, Van Gogh, Picasso, the Surrealists Dali and Magritte. Around 1993 post war artists such as Rauschenberg, Warhol, Basquiat, Richter, Twombly, Diebenkorn, Rothko and De Kooning became important areas of study. I’ve never been satisfied to stay with any one idea or technical process. My journey has been a fascination with ideas in paint and different media, studying many historical art movements. I have a restless nature and relate to the creativity of various artists I’ve studied and believe they were of a similar mindset.
