CONTEMPORARY LANDSCAPES (Squeegee Technique)

SQUEEGEE TECHNIQUE
In 1998 I read where Gerhard Richter used a squeegee like apparatus to apply paint in creating his abstracts. With that in mind, in 2002 while living in Lyme, Connecticut, I purchased window squeegees in various sizes and began experimenting with acrylics and oils later evolving into mostly landscape imagery. I like the surprise effects of this technique since it forces the paint into abstraction.
